You may not have heard about Cynthia Lummis before today, but what if I told you that this former member of Congress just won the Senate seat in the US election for the state of Wyoming.

Still not impressed? Ok then, how about this, she’s a conservative Republican senator who was favored to win the election in a traditionally red state. She also went into the election with a massive campaign bank account compared to her opponent, raising six times more than her democratic opponent Mr Ben-David. Now, how is all that possible you think?

Bitcoin HODLer

Well, one of the reasons is that Ms Lummis knows a thing or two about finance. In fact, she’s been a Bitcoin HODLer since 2013 and is a big fan of all things crypto and blockchain.

Crypto companies in the US are raving about her election to the US Senate, where they hope she will shed some light on the world of crypto and explain it to her fellow Republican Senators, who are still hoping to keep their majority in the Senate as the US election unfolds.

Ms Lummis, who earlier represented Wyoming’s congressional district from 2009 to 2017 in the House of Representatives, stated:

It was during my time in Congress that I first learned about bitcoin. I was struck by how innovative bitcoin is with its decentralized public ledger and a fixed supply.

Knowing that there’re only going to be 21 million bitcoin makes it an attractive store of value, the newly chosen Senator explained. ‘I have long worried about the Federal Reserve’s program of quantitative easing and the amount of debt on which our nation’s economy’s future rests.

A fan of Charles Hoskinson replied to the new Senator for Wyoming by asking her to have a look at Cardano for the next election.
